As well as performing in a number of varied practical situations, I am an experienced drum teacher in 1:1 and group workshop settings, currently teaching students of all ages on a weekly basis. I have studied teaching methods and practises and have experience in conducting workshops for groups aged six up to adults, with groups of all sizes from eight to over forty students. My drumming lessons have taught students to pass grade 8 exams and go on to study at college after beginning their drumming journey with me.
With material gathered from my own teaching experience, my playing experiences and my studies, I have compiled a catalogue of lesson plans to be implemented in private drum tutoring and group workshops which can be tailored to individual student's needs and interests.

Performer.
I am available to provide drumming and percussion and can provide backing vocal harmonies if necessary. I am a confident sight reader.
I cover a wide range of styles and genres and can create a part to suit any eventuality.

Drum Teacher.
Lessons can be provided from my studio in Welling, Bexley on either acoustic or electric drum kits. I currently teach over 30 students of all ages on a weekly basis and can also provide regular or one-off drum tutoring for children or adults.

Workshop Coordinator.
Workshops can be provided for groups of children or mixed age groups.
I created my own percussion workshops called Joe's Junkyard. These percussion workshops use household items which are altered to fit into samba groups in order to inspire creativity and educate participants in how pieces of music are composed and how the instrument groups differ and compliment each other.
I have held these workshops at a number of events and group meetings, teaching all ages from infant to adult, with group sizes ranging from eight to over forty students.
